We were reluctant to post such a shocking image on our page initially, but we thought it was important for our supporters and customers to understand that these fires raging through Brazil are very real and have been affecting families and their lives. Combined with the Pantanal fires, they have ripped through 2 million hectares which means we are losing some of our largest natural wildlife reserves faster than ever!

The Brazilian Cerrado, where our golden grass grows, is a dry land but has never before been affected so badly by wild fires. The exact extent of how much golden grass has been lost is unclear but currently there are 240 fire hotspots in this region alone.
.
Harvest season for the golden grass which, as we have previously explained, is legally only allowed to happen in an 6-7 week timeframe each year (September to end of October).
.
It has never been so important to help support biodiversity and natural resources - which families depend on for survival.
